Back Pack Bash 2025
One Mission. Many Cities. Thousands of Futures.
Backpack Bash is an event held in the fall right before the beginning of the school year. The goal of the event is to provide backpacks and supplies for children in families with low resources. The first Backpack Bash was held in 2015 by the Tallahassee chapter of the ICE Foundation. Since then, the Foundation has impacted 225 students in Tallahassee, 140 students in Jacksonville, 80 students in South Florida and 90 students in Orlando. The Gulf area alone has impacted a total of 1,520 students over the course of the last four years.
Every child deserves to start school with confidence and that starts with the tools to succeed.
Why It Matters:
Across America, 15 million students don’t have access to basic school supplies.
Families spend nearly $600 per child just to prepare for the school year, and 90% of
teachers cover the gaps out of their own pockets. Through Backpack Bash, we’re changing that one backpack at a time.
The Innovative Community Engagement Foundation’s annual Backpack Bash is more than a back-to-school drive. It’s a movement of professionals, volunteers, and local leaders uniting to empower youth with the supplies, support, and inspiration they need to thrive.
With events hosted by our chapters across the country including ICE DMV, SFL, JAX, TLH, HOU, and beyond, this initiative delivers thousands of backpacks filled with essential school supplies to students in underserved communities.
This year, we’re getting bigger than ever. And we need your help.
Join us in building equity through education by donating or becoming a sponsor. 100% of your support directly impacts students, and you can even select the chapter you’d like to support.
