ICE Professionals Reaching Out
ICE Professionals Reaching Out (PRO) includes professional volunteers from all career fields. These volunteers head out to schools to help teachers in the classroom. The ICE Foundation matches volunteers with teachers to help teach civic, reading, science, english and math. They may also assist with lesson plans and other classroom needs. The first ICE Pro event was held in 2017 by the Tallahassee chapter of the ICE Foundation. Since then, the organization has impacted 500 students in the Tallahassee area and 180 students in the Gulf.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need anything for ICE Pro?
Other than Government Issued identification, no. This is a simple project where you will be able to help with an elementary or middle school lesson plan. No preparation is needed.
Do I need to RSVP?
Absolutely. Since the Treat or Treat program deals with children, it is imperative that we have your information as early as possible so that the school can give you clearance to enter the property.
