Turkey Drive
Thanksgiving is a time where many look back over the past year and think about all of the things they are grateful for whether its family, material goods, or other blessings. For some families Thanksgiving presents a difficult time where they struggle to put food on the table, especially the meals that are most affiliated with Thanksgiving. The Turkey Drive is a project where the ICE Foundation purchases turkeys and gives them to needy families. With three drives, the ICE foundation has impacted 450 people in South Florida and 635 people in Tallahassee. With only two local events, the foundation has impacted 300 people in Jacksonville, 480 people in the Gulf area and 335 people in Orlando.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the ICE Foundation select individual families?
We typically work with our partner groups who closely work with our target group. Those partner groups select the families who need help and we work to get the turkeys and food to them directly or through the partner group.
How many turkeys does the ICE Foundation donate?
We typically try and have at least 100 turkeys per established site but it all depends on our fundraising efforts.
How can I help?
The easiest thing to do with this project is to donate money to our Turkey Drive. There is also a small need for assistance with transporting the turkeys on distribution day.
